JAMMU: Chairman of Panthers Party—Prof. Bhim Singh along with other Party activists were released late last night in Srinagar.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Singh described yesterday’s Lal Chowk event as a great victory and a unique initiative for political process to fight peoples’ alienation from political process.
Addressing a media conference in Srinagar this morning Prof. Singh asserted that a short spell of Governor’s Rule is the only way out to end alleged peoples’ revolt against the Chief Minister and his Government in J and K.
“The State is run by ghost leadership from the jails and those who are actually sitting on the seat of government have lost all its control over the administration,” Singh said. He also demanded Governor to convene emergency session of the Assembly and ask Chief Minister to prove his majority on the floor of the House.
Further, Prof. Singh strongly accused the echelons of Doordarshan and Radio Kashmir, Srinagar for acting as second chamber of the Information Department of the Coalition Government.
He urged the Prime Minister—Dr Manmohan Singh for his intervention to ensure that Doordarshan and Radio Kashmir, Srinagar do not act as tools of the State Government.
The Panthers chief condemned Doordarshan and Radio Kashmir, Srinagar for completely black out of the nationalist and democratic activities of Panthers Party only because the State Government allegedly desires so.
A press release of Panthers Party stated that they have declared a social boycott of Doordarshan, and Radio Kashmir, Srinagar and declared that they shall launch a movement against the alleged killers of democratic voice in the Valley.
He also said that Doordarshan and Radio Kashmir, Srinagar are mainly responsible for generating ill-will and hatred towards the Central Government by indulging into false propaganda projecting the corrupt and outdated leaders of NC and Congress in J and K.
Prof. Bhim Singh also declared that the political process which Panthers Party started yesterday in spite of the police suppression and assault on the Panthers Party workers shall carry the political process to Ladakh and every district of Kashmir and Jammu. Finally Prof. Bhim Singh said that reorganization of J and K is the ultimate solution to resolve J and K situation.
